Smart meters and prepaid meters services:
Since its inception, SATCO has worked on the services of supplying and installing mechanical and electronic meters, then in 2008 SATCO introduced the services of supplying and installing prepaid meters within the scope of work. In 2017, SATCO moved to the stage of providing prepaid smart meters services, and the following is a brief explanation of the most important meter products that SATCO is developing in cooperation with major international companies and is marketing, installing and operating services in Palestine.
Prepaid electric meter by card system: (called Holly 1 or Holly 2)
This meter is designed in cooperation with Holley Technology in China. This meter works according to the smart card system, whereby the balance is charged to the meters and the main settings are transferred from the charging system to the meter via the card. When the card is inserted into the meter, the meter returns the data in the meter to the card to be stored in the system at the next charging process. Then the electricity distribution authorities can read the data returned from the meters and analyze them to use them in studying the market needs.
This meter operates on a flat tariff system (kilowatt system, called Holly 1). Or it operates on a tiered tariff system (Holly 2 chipset system). The meter supports several types of subscribers through several types of meters:
SATCO has developed these meters since 2017 through the following updates:
Upgrading the 1-phase Holly 2 counters to the two-piece counters by optionally adding a home charging unit and a PLC connection modem to these counters upon request. This update has been applied to all Holly 2 1 phase meters that have been supplied since 2012 on demand. So that the meters can be installed outside the home and subscribers are provided with home charging units separate from the meters in order to charge the meter and read its data.

STS Prepaid Electricity Meter - Simple Meter
SATCO worked to provide services for the supply of these meters in 2016, these meters are similar to card meters in terms of their functions and features. The advantage of these counters over the card counter is that they are compatible with the global STS system, whose idea is based on the presence of a number plate on the counter through which the balance in the counter is charged via a long 20-digit number instead of using the card.
Only 25,000 meters of this type were supplied for the North Electricity Distribution Company only.
STS prepaid smart electricity meter:
SATCO has started providing services of supplying, installing and operating prepaid smart meters since 2017, and these meters are prepaid according to the global STS system, which relies on charging the balance in the meter through a 20-digit code, and this meter features several additional features as follows:
Medium voltage meter services
SATCO, through cooperation between the company's electrical panels manufacturing department, the systems and meters circuit and the electrical projects department, designs and manufactures electrical dashboards to measure consumption on medium voltage networks at connection points, as special transformers for current and voltage difference are installed at the connection points to measure current on medium voltage . These meters are used on 33,000 volt or 11,000 volt networks.
Service of supplying and installing a prepaid water meter:
SATCO has been working since 2014 to provide supply and installation services for prepaid water meters using the global STS system, where the information is transferred from the system to the meter via a magnetic card and the data is returned from the meter to the system by the same card, and the information is stored in the system. To be used in future analysis processes.
