The company was established in 1992 under the name of the Engineering Corporation for Electrical Services, and the beginning was in designing and implementing electrical distribution projects. The scope of work during that period included implementing electricity grid projects and rehabilitating old networks, in addition to connecting Palestinian villages to the permanent electricity grid.

Then the iron factory was opened to manufacture medium and low voltage poles in order to use these poles in the company’s projects or to sell them in the local market.

After several years and in relation to a high summit located in the town of Aqraba and overlooking the Palestinian Jordan Valley called "Qarn Sartaba", the new name of the company was adopted, which is Sartaba for Trade and Contracting, and the name was abbreviated SATCO, indicating the depth of the relationship between The company and the service of the desired Palestinian state on our land.

At that stage, SATCO began to expand importing supplies of electricity distribution networks from various international brands from Turkey, Italy, Spain, Germany, China and South Korea, and adopted prepaid meters within the company's fields of work.

Later, an electrical panel assembly workshop was established. In this workshop, components of electrical panels are assembled for various uses, such as distribution panels, power factor improvement panels and measurement panels.

The company has implemented distinguished solar energy projects that reached a capacity of more than 10 megawatts. The projects were divided between home projects, commercial projects, and other service projects belonging to the council and municipalities.
